The United Arab Emirates is set to revolutionize its educational landscape by introducing a comprehensive artificial intelligence curriculum across all public and private schools. Following a successful pilot program that yielded promising results, the government aims to ensure that students are well-versed in the mechanics of AI, including data, algorithms, and real-world applications. Beyond technical proficiency, the coursework will place a heavy emphasis on ethics, helping the next generation navigate both the immense opportunities and potential risks associated with rapidly advancing technology.

To support this transition, the UAE is launching an extensive training initiative for 22,000 teachers and educators. These professionals will be equipped with AI tools to streamline lesson planning, enhance student assessment, and foster a more innovative classroom environment. Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized that this shift is essential for staying competitive in the modern era, noting that educators must evolve into lifelong learners to meet the changing demands of the digital age.
