To accommodate a surge in population and an increasing preference for private education, Ras Al Khaimah has announced the approval of three new private schools slated to open for the 2026-2027 academic year. This significant development is set to create approximately 3,000 new student seats, alleviating pressure on current facilities that are frequently operating at full capacity. The new institutions include the Al Ibdaa Private Academy and a second branch of the Al Naser Private School, both of which will follow the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum, alongside the Bloom American Private School, which will cater to students seeking an American-style education.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, a board member of the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK), highlighted that this expansion is a proactive measure driven by the emirate’s rapid residential growth and the diverse needs of its residents from over 150 nationalities. Beyond providing families with more options and shorter waiting lists, the initiative is expected to foster a more competitive educational landscape while generating new job opportunities for educators. RAK DOK will maintain strict oversight through rigorous licensing requirements and ongoing quality evaluations to ensure that these new schools not only meet compliance standards but also foster academic excellence as the emirate continues its strategic expansion.
