UAE-based crypto platform BitOasis appoints Jonathan Rigg as new CEO
The UAE-born digital asset exchange BitOasis has officially entered a new chapter with the appointment of Jonathan Rigg as its Chief Executive Officer. Rigg takes the helm from co-founder Ola Doudin, who successfully built the platform into a regional powerhouse since its inception in 2016, supporting over one million users and facilitating roughly $8.5 billion in spot trading volume. This transition, occurring two years after the company was acquired by Indiaâs CoinDCX, marks a strategic pivot toward deepening the firm's regulated presence across the Middle East.
Rigg, a seasoned veteran with a background at major financial institutions like HSBC and Deutsche Bank, brings a wealth of expertise in fintech and digital asset infrastructure to the role. His primary focus will be on product innovation, expanding the firm's institutional capabilities, and ensuring that security remains the platform's cornerstone. Under his leadership, BitOasis is already building on recent milestones, such as securing a broker-dealer license in Bahrain and preparing for the upcoming launch of new derivatives products, as the company looks to solidify its standing as a trusted leader in the MENA crypto space.
