Al Ain Municipality Expands Slaughterhouse Hours for Eid Al Adha

Fri, May 22, 2026(90d ago)UAE

To manage the high demand during the upcoming Eid Al Adha celebrations, the Al Ain City Municipality has implemented an enhanced operational strategy across its 11 slaughterhouses. By increasing the number of butchers and veterinary personnel, the city aims to streamline the slaughtering process and minimize wait times for residents. These facilities—including Al Ahali, Al Tijari, Al Amera, Al Salamat, and several others—have been assigned specific extended schedules, with many remaining open from 6 am to 8 pm during the peak period to ensure a more convenient and efficient experience for the public.

To uphold public health, every stage of the process is under rigorous veterinary supervision, with the municipality conducting extensive cleaning and equipment maintenance to meet strict biosecurity standards. Furthermore, the Al Ain Central Livestock Market is fully prepared to handle the influx of shoppers, featuring organized traffic routes and stringent health inspections for all animals. Officials are urging the community to adhere to safety guidelines and cooperate with onsite staff, ensuring that the holiday remains a safe and orderly experience for everyone involved.
