UAE weather forecast: Rain chances and rising temperatures ahead

Sun, Sep 6, 2026(2h ago)UAE

The UAE is set to experience a mix of fair and partly cloudy skies this Sunday, September 6, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warning of potential convective cloud formation in eastern regions by the afternoon. These conditions may lead to scattered rainfall, while temperatures are expected to climb gradually. Residents should also prepare for humid conditions moving into the night and early Monday morning, particularly along the coastal stretches of the country.

Heat levels remain significant, with Abu Dhabi and Sharjah hitting a sweltering 43°C, while Dubai is expected to reach 42°C. Throughout the day, the region will see light to moderate winds shifting from the southeast to the northeast, occasionally gusting up to 40kmph. Sea conditions are predicted to be slight to moderate across the Arabian Gulf, and generally calm in the Oman Sea, following a day where temperatures peaked at 45.3°C in the Al Dhafra region.
