A Rare White Falcon Shatters World Records at Abu Dhabi Auction
An extraordinary Gyr Pure Ultra White falcon has made history at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026, fetching a staggering Dh2.1 million. This record-breaking sale, which translates to roughly $571,000, officially surpasses the previous world record for a falcon sold at auction, held by a bird that garnered $467,000 in Riyadh back in 2021. The remarkable sale highlights the growing prestige of the ADIHEX auctions, which have become a premier global venue for collectors and breeders seeking the finest birds.
The atmosphere at this year's event was electric, as multiple high-value sales underscored the intense demand for these rare, high-pedigree creatures. Before the final record-setting bid, two other falcons had already cleared the Dh1 million milestone, including a Qarmousha Pure Ultra White that briefly held the event's top spot. Organized by the ADNEC Group and the Emirates Falconers' Club, the exhibition continues to celebrate the deep-rooted cultural importance of falconry, drawing in participants from over 55 global breeding farms to showcase birds celebrated for their impeccable lineage and striking white plumage.
