UAE weather update: Temperatures soar to 43ºC in Abu Dhabi

Tue, Sep 8, 2026(1h ago)UAE

On Tuesday, September 8, residents across the UAE should prepare for a mix of fair and partly cloudy skies. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has indicated that cloud cover will gradually increase over eastern and southern regions as the afternoon progresses. Despite the cloud activity, the weather will remain characteristically warm throughout the day, with peak temperatures climbing as high as 46ºC in certain parts of the country.

In the major hubs, Abu Dhabi is set to experience a high of 43ºC, while Dubai will see temperatures reaching 42ºC. As evening approaches, the heat will taper off, with overnight lows settling around 32ºC in the capital and 33ºC in Dubai. Light to moderate winds, blowing from the southeasterly and northeasterly directions, are expected to circulate, occasionally freshening at speeds up to 35 km/h. Meanwhile, conditions at sea remain relatively calm, with only slight wave activity predicted in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
