Dubai Police Launches Anti-Doping Awareness Campaign for Athletes

Tue, Sep 8, 2026(1h ago)UAE

In a major effort to prioritize athlete well-being and integrity, Dubai Police has unveiled a comprehensive anti-doping initiative involving roughly 400 athletes across 29 different sporting disciplines. This program is designed to educate participants on the severe health risks associated with prohibited substances and unregulated performance-enhancing supplements. By serving as ambassadors, these athletes are tasked with carrying the message of clean sport beyond the training grounds, reaching gyms, households, and the broader community to foster a culture of transparency and health.

The campaign kicks off in tandem with the International Forum on Combating Doping in Sport, scheduled for September 17. The event, hosted at the onset of the competitive season, will feature experts from the Dubai Sports Council and the UAE National Anti-Doping Agency. Discussions will center on the latest World Anti-Doping Agency regulations, the dangers of contaminated supplements, and the importance of a unified legal framework. By equipping athletes with this knowledge, officials hope to prevent unintentional violations and ensure that performance excellence is achieved safely and ethically.
