Dubai Police Facilitates Virtual Eid Al Adha Family Visits

Sun, May 24, 2026(90d ago)UAE

To mark the joyous occasion of Eid Al Adha, Dubai Police has announced that inmates will be able to connect with their loved ones through a dedicated remote video calling service. Brigadier Salah Juma Buassiba, Director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, confirmed that this initiative will run during the first three days of the holiday. The service will be available in two daily sessions, running from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and again from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, ensuring that families—whether they are based within the UAE or abroad—can share in the holiday spirit.

This program, which relies on the logistical support of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, has become a staple of the holiday season due to its ongoing success in fostering family connections. To arrange a visit, family members can simply submit an electronic request via the Dubai Police smart app or official website. Once approved, they will receive an SMS containing a direct link for the video call. By providing all necessary electronic devices for both male and female inmates, Dubai Police continues to prioritize the emotional well-being of those in their care by bridging the gap between them and their families.
