UAE Braces for Sweltering Temperatures During Eid Al Adha Holiday

Sun, May 24, 2026(45d ago)UAE

As the UAE prepares for the Eid Al Adha long weekend, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather advisory warning of soaring temperatures across the country. Daytime conditions are expected to be intensely hot in inland regions, with mercury levels climbing as high as 48ÂșC, while coastal areas and islands will remain relatively hot, ranging between 35ÂșC and 43ÂșC. Residents heading to mountainous regions can expect slightly cooler, yet still warm, conditions with temperatures between 28ÂșC and 35ÂșC.

To cope with the heat, the NCM recommends that the public avoid direct sunlight during the peak hours of the day. While the evenings and early mornings will offer some relief with moderate temperatures, humidity levels are set to rise overnight, potentially leading to patches of mist or light fog, particularly early in the week and on Friday. Additionally, light to moderate winds are expected to pick up during the day, which may cause dust to blow across open areas, though sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are anticipated to remain calm throughout the holiday period.
