Sharjah Police Arrest Man for Trafficking Narcotics via E-Cigarettes

Tue, May 12, 2026(101d ago)UAE

The Sharjah Police have successfully apprehended an Asian national who had turned his home into a clandestine operation for distributing narcotics. According to the Anti-Narcotics Department, the suspect was specifically targeting the youth by filling electronic cigarettes with illicit substances. After a period of careful surveillance and intelligence gathering, officers raided the property, uncovering a stash of pre-filled vapes alongside the specialized machinery used to package and process the drugs.

Brigadier Majid Sultan Al Asam, the Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department, underscored the force’s zero-tolerance policy toward drug distribution, framing the arrest as a critical step in protecting the community. He stressed that law enforcement remains vigilant in tracking down dealers who pose a direct threat to public safety. Furthermore, the Sharjah Police have issued an urgent advisory to parents, urging them to keep a watchful eye on their children’s behavior and academic performance. Officials emphasized that maintaining open communication and identifying early warning signs, such as social withdrawal or changing friend circles, is essential for keeping families safe from the growing dangers of drug abuse.
