As the youngest son of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Dubai's founding father, Sheikh Ahmed leaves behind a significant legacy, having served as the Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police and Public Services, as well as the President of Al Wasl Sports Club. In honor of his memory, the emirate has entered a 10-day mourning period, with flags lowered to half-mast. The family will be accepting condolences over the coming days, with specific times scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for those wishing to offer their sympathies.
