The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned residents to stay cautious this Thursday as thick fog blankets parts of the country. Red and yellow alerts are currently in effect, signaling significantly reduced visibility that could impact morning commutes. While the day is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, motorists are advised to drive carefully until the morning mist clears.

Beyond the fog, the country is bracing for a noticeable rise in temperatures. Inland regions may see the mercury climbing as high as 44ºC, while major cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai are expected to reach peaks of 42ºC and 41ºC, respectively. As evening approaches, humidity levels will spike—reaching up to 90 percent in some areas—which may lead to further patches of mist by Friday morning. Despite the heat, sea conditions are forecast to remain calm across both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
