Tragedy Strikes as Elderly UAE Expatriate Couple Found Dead in Kerala
A heartbreaking discovery was made in Kerala’s Kollam district this past Saturday, where an elderly Indian expatriate couple was found dead inside their home. The pair, aged 67 and 60, had been preparing to return to the UAE after a brief visit to their home country. Their relatives grew alarmed when they stopped responding to calls and knocks on their door, eventually leading them to peer through a window and discover the couple unresponsive. Local authorities were immediately notified, and the bodies were subsequently moved to the Government Medical College Hospital in Kollam for a post-mortem examination.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that financial struggles may have been a factor, though officials are withholding a definitive conclusion until the autopsy results are finalized. No suicide note was recovered from the residence, but investigators did find the flight tickets for their return trip to Dubai, which had been scheduled for later that same night. The Kadakkal police have officially registered a case of unnatural death and are conducting a thorough probe into the circumstances. The couple, who had spent years living in the Gulf, leaves behind a son and daughter who are both settled abroad.
