UAE Braces for Rising Temperatures and Unsettled Conditions

Fri, Oct 2, 2026(3h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted a shift in weather across the UAE this Friday, October 2, with coastal areas set to experience a noticeable rise in heat. Residents in Abu Dhabi can expect the mercury to climb to 40ÂșC, while Dubai is predicted to reach 39ÂșC. Alongside the rising heat, the skies are expected to remain partly cloudy, particularly across the eastern and southern regions of the country.

Beyond the temperature hike, the NCM has issued a yellow alert cautioning residents about wind and sea conditions. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds, gusting up to 40 kmph, are likely to stir up dust throughout the day. While the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea may start the morning with rough waters, conditions are anticipated to settle into a moderate to slight state as the day progresses.
