Bringing Joy to Families: Dubai Police Celebrate Eid Al Adha with Children of Female Inmates
In a heartwarming gesture to mark Eid Al Adha, Dubai Police recently brought smiles to the children of female inmates through their long-standing "You Made Me Happy" initiative. By gifting festive clothing to these youngsters, authorities aimed to bridge the emotional gap caused by family separation, ensuring that children feel included and celebrated during the holiday. The program, which was held in collaboration with the General Department of Human Rights and the Punitive and Correctional Establishments, underscores the police force's commitment to social compassion and supporting vulnerable families.
Beyond providing gifts, Dubai Police is placing a significant focus on maintaining strong familial bonds throughout the festive period. Recognizing that children are often the most impacted by a parent's incarceration, officials emphasized that these efforts are part of a wider strategy to foster a supportive environment that aids in the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates. To further help families stay connected, the department has also arranged remote video visitation sessions, allowing inmates to speak with their loved ones both within the UAE and abroad during the first three days of Eid.
