UAE Football Association to Fund Tickets for Fans at Gulf 27 Final
Anticipation is reaching a fever pitch as the UAE prepares to take on Saudi Arabia in the highly anticipated Gulf 27 final. To ensure the "Whites" have a strong contingent of supporters cheering them on at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah this Tuesday, the UAE Football Association (UAEFA) has announced that they will cover the ticket costs for traveling fans. This gesture is part of a broader effort to rally national support as the team aims to secure their third Gulf Cup title, having previously claimed the trophy in 2007 and 2013.
To facilitate the journey, the UAEFA has doubled its original plan for special flights, increasing the count from six to 12 to accommodate the overwhelming demand from fans eager to witness the historic match. Registration for these chartered flights opened on Sunday, and the association is processing requests on a first-come, first-served basis until all seats are claimed. The UAE secured their spot in the final following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Oman, courtesy of a decisive header from Ousmane Camara, setting the stage for an electric showdown against the tournament hosts.
