Adnoc Secures Major LNG Supply Deal for Thailand

Tue, Oct 6, 2026(1h ago)UAE

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has solidified its position as a key energy provider in the Asian market by signing a multi-year sales and purchase agreement with Thailand’s Gulf Group. Starting in 2027, Adnoc Trading is set to supply the conglomerate with approximately 2 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas. This partnership is designed to bolster energy security in Thailand while reinforcing the strategic ties established between the two companies over the past few years, ensuring a steady flow of resources as regional demand continues to climb.

This agreement marks a significant step for Adnoc’s integrated LNG marketing and trading platform, which was launched to streamline the company's global commercial operations. By prioritizing flexibility and shipping efficiency, Adnoc aims to expand its role in the global energy transition. With an ambitious target of reaching 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG beyond 2030, the company is effectively scaling its infrastructure to become a dominant force in the international market, providing its partners with the resilient supply chain support needed to meet long-term energy goals.
