UAE Successfully Facilitates Passenger Transit to Tel Aviv Following Flight Suspension
Following the temporary grounding of flydubai flights to Tel Aviv, the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has successfully concluded a major operation to ensure travelers reach their destinations. Between October 2 and the conclusion of the effort, 37 special flights were dispatched from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion Airport, safely transporting 7,479 passengers who had been impacted by the service disruptions.
To bridge the gap caused by the suspension, authorities fast-tracked permits for Israeli carriers to operate routes into Dubai, while Etihad Airways also played a key role in maintaining connectivity. With the GCAA confirming that all stranded passengers have now been accommodated and returned home, the aviation sector is moving toward normalcy. Etihad Airways remains on its regular schedule for Tel Aviv, and the GCAA continues to work closely with international partners to ensure the stability and reliability of ongoing air travel services.
