UAE Issues Fog Alerts as Temperatures Climb to 38°C
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted generally fair to partly cloudy conditions across the UAE this Tuesday, October 6. While skies will remain mostly clear throughout the morning, residents in eastern regions should prepare for potential convective cloud formations by the afternoon, which may bring isolated rainfall to those areas. Despite the clouds, the heat remains steady, with maximum temperatures in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah expected to peak at 38°C, while nighttime lows will hover between 29°C and 30°C.
Authorities have issued red and yellow fog alerts, warning motorists of significantly reduced horizontal visibility across the country until 9:00 AM. As the day progresses, the weather will turn humid during the night and into Wednesday morning, particularly in internal and coastal zones, raising the possibility of mist or further fog. With light to moderate winds and calm sea conditions expected in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, residents are advised to exercise caution on the roads while the visibility remains compromised.
