Abu Dhabi Approves Dh1.54 Billion Housing Package for Citizens Ahead of Eid Al Adha
In a significant move to support local families, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has greenlit a massive Dh1.54 billion housing benefits package. Executed under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this initiative provides vital assistance to 1,074 Emirati citizens just in time for the Eid Al Adha celebrations. The package includes Dh1.41 billion in housing loans for 929 beneficiaries, alongside debt relief totaling Dh123 million, which will support 145 seniors, low-income retirees, and families of the deceased.
This second round of housing support for 2026 highlights the UAE leadership’s ongoing mission to ensure social stability and long-term wellbeing for its people. Officials from the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) emphasized that these efforts are central to maintaining a dignified lifestyle for citizens while contributing to the nation's broader development goals. With this latest disbursement, total housing aid for 2026 has hit Dh5.76 billion, pushing the cumulative value of support provided by ADHA since its inception to an impressive Dh182 billion, benefiting over 133,000 citizens.
