UAE Denounces Ongoing Houthi Attacks on Saudi Infrastructure and Shipping
The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong condemnation regarding the persistent Houthi strikes aimed at civilian populations and economic infrastructure within Saudi Arabia. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described these provocations, which extend to targeting vessels in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, as a blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security. Standing in firm solidarity with the Kingdom, the UAE has reiterated its support for all necessary defensive measures taken by Riyadh to protect its people and borders.
These statements follow a series of escalated military actions, including a recent ballistic missile interception north of Riyadh confirmed by the Saudi-led coalition. Additionally, Saudi authorities reported significant disruption earlier this week when attacks hit the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport and Najran International Airport. These incidents, which resulted in minor injuries and physical damage to airport facilities, highlight the ongoing security challenges posed by the Houthi militia in the region.
