The education community in Dubai is grieving the loss of Anjana Sanalkumar, a dedicated educator who spent an incredible 33 years with GEMS Education. As a familiar face at The Westminster School, where she served as both a teacher and an examination officer, Sanalkumar left an indelible mark on generations of students, parents, and colleagues. Her passing has triggered a wave of heartfelt tributes, with the school community coming together to honor her lifelong commitment to shaping young minds amidst the rapidly evolving landscape of Dubai’s private education sector.

To commemorate her immense contribution, The Westminster School is hosting a memorial service on Thursday, October 8, at 3pm, which will also be available to attend via livestream for those unable to be there in person. Furthermore, GEMS Education has announced plans to establish the "Anjana Sanalkumar Memorial Scholarship" to ensure her legacy of guidance and mentorship continues to support future students. By inviting the community to share their personal memories and messages, the school hopes to celebrate a career that defined educational excellence for decades and touched the lives of countless families across the emirate.
