Abu Dhabi Road Closure: What Motorists Need to Know
Drivers in Abu Dhabi should prepare for potential traffic delays this coming weekend as authorities have scheduled maintenance on a key route. Abu Dhabi Mobility recently confirmed that two right lanes on Shakhbout Bin Sultan Street will be closed to traffic, specifically affecting the direction heading toward Al Ain.
The lane restrictions are set to take effect late Friday night, October 9, starting at 11:45 PM, and are scheduled to remain in place until early Monday morning, October 12, 2026, at 6:00 AM. To avoid being caught in unexpected congestion, officials are urging all motorists to plan their travel routes ahead of time and factor in extra travel duration during this period.
