Lunar Light Show to Illuminate Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
This coming October 11, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi is set to host a breathtaking light display in honor of the new Hijri month. The five-minute presentation offers a captivating visual exploration of the moon’s phases, beautifully highlighting the cultural importance and precision of the UAE Hijri Calendar. This immersive experience will span across the mosque’s stunning architecture, extending all the way to Wahat Al Karama to provide a unique spectacle for visitors under the night sky.
Guests can catch the show at various times throughout the evening, with performances scheduled for 8pm, 8.30pm, 9pm, 9.30pm, and 10pm. While the mosque recently introduced a nominal entry fee for most visitors, access remains free for children under three, seniors over 60, and people of determination.
