CBSE Announces October Schedule for Special Class 12 Exams in the Middle East

Wed, Oct 14, 2026(2h ago)UAE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the schedule for the special Class 12 board examinations, specifically tailored for students in the Middle East whose academic calendars were disrupted by regional conflicts. These exams are set to take place from October 23 to October 28 across seven countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. In total, the board will conduct assessments for 40 subjects, split evenly between 20 academic and 20 skill-based disciplines.

This initiative follows a special assessment scheme introduced by the board back in March 2026 after the original exams were cancelled. Eligible students who were already enrolled for the main 2026 examinations and received results through the alternative assessment model now have the opportunity to sit for these fresh exams. Notably, students can choose which subjects to retake, and the marks earned in these sessions will officially override their previous scores, serving as their final result. The board has clarified that these exams are distinct from the standard supplementary or improvement tests, serving as a dedicated pathway for those affected by the unique regional situation.
