Global Village Reopens for Season 31: Dubai Families Celebrate in Style

Thu, Oct 15, 2026(5h ago)UAE

The much-anticipated return of Global Village kicked off on Wednesday, drawing massive crowds eager to embrace the start of Dubai’s pleasant outdoor season. By 6pm, long queues had already formed at the gates as families and groups of friends gathered under the iconic entrance arches. The atmosphere was electric, with children like young Abdul Ahad rushing toward the water fountains, while parents joked that the late-night festivities might just lead to a "day off" from school the following morning.

Inside, the park was a vibrant tapestry of global cultures, with visitors navigating through a diverse array of pavilions offering everything from authentic Bosnian kebabs to Korean street food. Many attendees, including groups who traveled from as far as Ajman and Sharjah, remained undeterred by the long wait times, viewing the experience as a must-visit tradition. As night fell, the iconic Lake Dragon show captivated the audience with its stunning laser effects, marking a successful start to a season that promises over 200 attractions and representation from more than 90 cultures through May 2027.
