Unsettled Weather Patterns Expected Across UAE Today

Thu, Oct 15, 2026(4h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted a mix of fair to partly cloudy skies for the UAE today. While the morning may start off calm, residents should prepare for a shift by the afternoon as convective clouds gather, particularly over eastern regions. These cloud formations are expected to spread toward inland and western areas, bringing a likely chance of scattered rainfall. As night falls, the atmosphere will turn noticeably humid, raising the possibility of mist or fog developing in coastal and interior zones by Friday morning.

In terms of wind and temperatures, the country can expect light to moderate breezes, shifting from southeasterly to northwesterly throughout the day. It is worth noting that wind speeds could pick up significantly during cloud activity, potentially reaching 50kmph and kicking up dust, which may hinder visibility for drivers. Meanwhile, temperatures are set to climb, with Abu Dhabi and Sharjah hitting a high of 38°C, while Dubai is expected to reach 37°C. Despite these daytime highs, the sea conditions remain relatively calm across both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
