Dubai to Welcome New Waterpark Adventure
Dubai is set to expand its impressive leisure portfolio with a brand-new waterpark, scheduled to launch within the next few months. Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, shared the news during the recent Rise summit, noting that the upcoming facility is specifically designed to offer a refreshing escape during the summer heat. This addition will join the existing lineup at Dubai Parks and Resorts, further cementing the emirate's status as a premier global entertainment destination.
The announcement follows a period of notable success for Dubai’s attractions, most notably Global Village, which has recently outperformed Florida’s Magic Kingdom in terms of average daily attendance. Eiroa emphasized that today’s tourists are looking for interactive experiences, such as the unique challenges found at the Real Madrid theme park. To keep up with this demand for high-quality, active entertainment, Dubai Parks and Resorts has spent the last six months undergoing extensive refurbishments, including the addition of 14 new attractions at Riverland, such as go-karts and high-tech simulators.
