UAE weather: More rain expected as temperatures peak at 36°C
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast fair to partly cloudy conditions across the UAE for Sunday, though residents in northern and eastern regions should remain prepared for potential rainfall. The afternoon is expected to see the development of convective clouds, continuing the wet weather trend that has persisted in certain parts of the country over the last few days. Additionally, residents should be mindful of humid conditions returning overnight and into Monday morning, as there is a strong possibility of mist or fog settling over inland and coastal zones.
Winds are expected to remain light to moderate throughout the day, shifting from a southeasterly to a northwesterly direction. While speeds will generally stay between 10 and 25 km/h, they could pick up to 40 km/h near cloud formations, potentially causing patches of blowing dust. Meanwhile, sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecasted to stay calm. As for the mercury, temperatures in Dubai and Sharjah are set to reach a high of 36°C, with lows settling around 28°C, following a particularly hot day yesterday where Sweihan saw temperatures climb past 41°C.
