UAE Weather Update: Rain Forecasted Amidst Fog Alerts Across the Country
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted a shift in UAE weather for Monday, October 19, transitioning from fair to partly cloudy conditions with a high chance of rainfall. This precipitation is expected to be triggered by convective cloud formations developing in the eastern regions, which are projected to drift toward some internal and western areas as the afternoon progresses.
In addition to the rain, authorities have issued red and yellow fog alerts, particularly for the early morning hours. Conditions are likely to remain humid heading into Tuesday morning, with a lingering possibility of mist and fog in coastal and inland zones. Winds will fluctuate between light and moderate—shifting from southeasterly to northwesterly—though they may become gusty near cloud formations, reaching speeds of up to 50 km/hr and potentially stirring up dust.
Temperatures remain relatively warm across the major hubs, with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah expecting highs between 37ºC and 38ºC, while nighttime lows are forecast to drop to around 27ºC–28ºC. While the weather becomes more active on land, maritime conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight throughout the day.
