Dubai RTA to Auction 60 Exclusive Number Plates This October
Collectors and car enthusiasts in Dubai have a fresh opportunity to acquire unique vehicle identification as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announces its 121st open auction. Set for October 24 at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City Hotel, the event will feature 60 highly sought-after number plates, including rare two-digit combinations like BB 80 and CC 44. The available plates span a variety of codes, including AA, H, and Z, offering diverse options for those looking to add a personalized touch to their vehicles.
To participate, interested buyers must register via the RTA’s official website or visit one of the designated Customer Happiness Centres. Requirements include holding a valid Dubai traffic file and submitting a refundable security deposit of Dh25,000, along with a Dh120 participation fee. It is important to note that successful bidders must finalize their payments within 10 working days, plus a 5 percent VAT, to avoid penalties. With no cap on the number of plates an individual can win, this auction remains a premier event for investors and residents eager to secure a piece of Dubai’s iconic automotive culture.
