Aldar Education to Boost Local Talent with Major Emirati Hiring Drive
In a significant move to strengthen national representation within the classroom, Aldar Education has launched an ambitious partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). This landmark initiative aims to recruit over 300 UAE nationals, with a specific focus on bringing more than 100 first-time Emirati teachers into the school system. By creating a structured professional pipeline that spans internships, classroom assistant roles, and full-time teaching positions, the program seeks to achieve a ninefold increase in Emirati participation. This collaboration marks the first of its kind between a private school operator and the regulator, signaling a strategic shift toward fostering a home-grown workforce that can guide the future of education in the UAE.
Beyond initial recruitment, the program emphasizes long-term career growth, aiming to place Emirati educators in key leadership and specialist roles within the next few years. CEO Sahar Cooper highlighted that the strategy focuses on building a sustainable ecosystem, where new hires receive continuous mentorship, professional development, and clear progression paths—including the "GROW" initiative, which supports teachers in obtaining advanced qualifications like the PGCE. By blending cultural grounding with modern pedagogical training, Aldar Education is not just filling vacancies; it is cultivating a future-ready generation of leaders who will integrate national identity and values into the core of the UAE’s academic landscape.
