Dubai Adjusts Speed Limits on Key Arteries Starting November 1

Wed, Oct 21, 2026(1h ago)UAE

Starting November 1, 2026, motorists in Dubai will need to adjust to revised speed limits across five major thoroughfares. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) confirmed this week that these updates are part of an ongoing effort to manage traffic flow and improve road safety. While some stretches of road will see an increase in allowable speeds, others will face tighter restrictions, so drivers should remain vigilant regarding new signage in both directions.

Specifically, the RTA is raising limits on Al Asayel Street, Al Mustaqbal Street, and Latifa bint Hamdan Street to help streamline movement. Conversely, the authority is lowering the maximum speed on Al Rebat Street and Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Street to better align with current road conditions. It is essential for commuters to take note of these specific changes—particularly the reduction on the latter two roads—to avoid potential fines and ensure a safer journey across the city.
