Abu Dhabi Launches Global Initiative to Empower Health Innovators in Africa and Asia
Abu Dhabi has officially unveiled a strategic partnership aimed at bridging the gap for health-focused entrepreneurs across Africa and Asia. Through a new initiative titled "Future Health," the emirate is teaming up with the support organization Bridge for Billions to provide a three-stage development pathway for roughly 50 early-stage ventures. This program is designed to identify high-potential startups by evaluating their scalability, maturity, and ability to address specific community health needs, offering them professional guidance on regulatory hurdles, business model validation, and investment preparedness.
The final phase of the program invites a select group of these entrepreneurs to an acceleration residency in Abu Dhabi. This unique opportunity allows founders to forge long-term partnerships with the cityâs prominent research institutions, investors, and healthcare providers. By addressing the significant funding shortages currently plaguing health innovation in emerging markets, this initiativeâheld under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyanâseeks to transform localized, impactful health solutions into global success stories while fostering job creation across related industries.
