The United Arab Emirates has officially conveyed its heartfelt sympathies to Kenya following a devastating fire that swept through a girls' dormitory in Nakuru County. In a formal statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep sorrow for the loss of life and extended sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Kenyan government and its citizens. Furthermore, officials offered their support to the injured, wishing them a swift and full recovery during this incredibly difficult time.

The tragedy unfolded in the early hours of Thursday morning at the Utumishi Girls Academy, located roughly 120km north of Nairobi. Reports indicate that the blaze began around 1am, impacting a dormitory that housed approximately 220 students. Local authorities have confirmed a grim toll, with at least 16 people losing their lives and 73 others requiring urgent hospitalization. While the exact identities of all victims are still being verified, the incident has left the local community and the nation in mourning.
