Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Global Diplomatic Push
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-nation diplomatic tour this week, starting in France and concluding in Slovakia. His itinerary begins in Nice with a bilateral meeting with President Emmanuel Macron, followed by a historic stop in Slovakia. This visit marks a significant milestone in international relations, as it will be the first time an Indian Prime Minister has visited the nation since it gained independence in 1993, where Modi is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Following his stop in Slovakia, the Prime Minister will head back to France for the highly anticipated G7 summit held in Evian. While the summit brings together leaders from the world’s seven most advanced economies, Modi is expected to leverage the event to conduct several side-line meetings, potentially addressing ongoing trade discussions with the United States. To close out his trip, Modi will shift his focus to the tech sector in Paris, attending the VivaTech Summit. This appearance is designed to promote India’s growing influence as a powerhouse for digital innovation and entrepreneurship while fostering deeper strategic partnerships with European allies.
