Philippine Passport Renewal Services to Revert to Embassies in UAE

Thu, Jun 25, 2026(2h ago)World

Starting June 30, the Philippine ePassport Renewal Centres (PaRC) managed by VFS Global in Abu Dhabi’s World Trade Center and Dubai’s Wafi Mall will permanently close their doors. Following this shift, all passport-related services will be centralized exclusively under the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai. This move marks the end of a multi-year outsourcing experiment that first began in Dubai in late 2019, essentially returning the processing system to the original arrangement used prior to the partnership with VFS.

For those currently awaiting passports or holding unclaimed documents processed through VFS centers, officials have confirmed that these will be transferred to the respective diplomatic missions. Starting July 1, residents should head directly to the Embassy or Consulate to collect their travel documents. Authorities are urging applicants to pick up any pending passports as soon as possible to avoid logistical complications. For further clarification or urgent assistance, Filipinos in the UAE are encouraged to reach out to the official mission hotlines or email addresses provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
