UAE Stands With Bahrain Following Hostile Drone Attacks
The United Arab Emirates has issued a firm condemnation of the recent drone strikes carried out against Bahrain on June 27. In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the aggression as an unacceptable breach of Bahrain’s sovereignty, emphasizing that such hostile acts pose a direct threat to the stability and security of the region. Reaffirming its unwavering support, the UAE declared its full backing for any measures taken by the Bahraini government to protect its territory and maintain national peace.
The regional tensions follow a series of escalations, with Bahrain asserting its right to defend its borders against these Iranian-backed incursions. While Iran claimed to have targeted sites associated with American forces, the geopolitical situation remains volatile following US-led strikes on drone and missile facilities. These events were triggered by an earlier attack on a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz, an incident for which Iran has denied responsibility while simultaneously asserting its power to police traffic through the critical maritime corridor.
