Emirati Travelers Eagerly Plan Trips as Lebanon Travel Ban is Lifted

Wed, Jul 1, 2026(3h ago)World

UAE citizens are welcoming the recent government decision to lift the travel ban to Lebanon, marking an end to months of uncertainty for those eager to reconnect with the country. Starting June 29, 2026, Emiratis are once again free to visit the popular destination, provided they adhere to mandatory safety protocols. Many travelers, who had previously been forced to cancel weddings and reunions, expressed immense relief and excitement, citing Lebanon’s renowned hospitality, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture as major draws for their upcoming trips.

To ensure safety and facilitate efficient communication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made registration on the "Twajudi" service a prerequisite for all departures. Local travelers have praised this requirement, viewing it as a sensible and reassuring measure that allows authorities to provide support if needed. By requiring both departure and return notifications through the platform, the UAE is balancing the freedom to explore with a strong commitment to the welfare and security of its citizens abroad, ultimately fostering a more organized and confident travel experience.
