Shocking Allegations of Child Abuse at Bengaluru Corporate Daycare
Authorities in India have launched a formal investigation into harrowing reports of child abuse at a daycare facility located within a Capgemini IT campus in Bengaluru. Five staff members have been detained following disturbing allegations that they systematically mistreated toddlers in their care. According to police reports, the caretakers allegedly subjected the children to cruel punishments, including locking them inside washing machines, forcing them into cramped, water-filled drums, and using toilet jet sprays on them, among other alarming forms of intimidation.
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken immediate action, dispatching a specialized fact-finding team to the city to conduct an inquiry into the situation. In response to the outcry and the subsequent police case filed at the HAL station, Capgemini has temporarily shuttered the facility. The company stated that the safety of employees' families remains their primary concern, and they are working closely with law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation into the conduct of the accused employees.
