Grieving Families Receive Support Following Tragic Emirates Road Crash
The families of seven workers who tragically lost their lives in a fatal accident on Dubai’s Emirates Road are receiving vital humanitarian support thanks to a Dh1-million rehabilitation initiative led by Indian billionaire Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil. Representatives have travelled across India and Sri Lanka to personally deliver Dh100,000 to each of the bereaved households, ensuring that the families of the victims—six from India and one from Sri Lanka—receive not only financial aid but also long-term commitments for educational support. This outreach aims to provide a safety net for those who have lost their primary breadwinners, including a young woman in Uttar Pradesh who will now be supported in her pursuit of a nursing degree.
The initiative extends beyond the deceased, offering further financial assistance to the nine injured survivors, with distributions tailored to their specific medical needs and recovery requirements. Beyond the figures, the primary goal of the relief mission is to provide emotional solidarity, ensuring these families know their loved ones’ contributions to the UAE are honored and that they are not navigating this period of immense loss alone. As representatives visited remote villages from Telangana to Mullaitivu, the message remained clear: despite the great distances, the community stands firmly with these families as they attempt to piece their lives back together.
