Massive Fire Engulfs Rajdhani Express Coach Near Kota
A terrifying blaze broke out early Sunday morning on the 12431 Rajdhani Express as it traveled through the Kota Railway Division near the Madhya Pradesh border. Dramatic footage shared online captured the intensity of the scene, showing thick plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky as vibrant orange flames tore through the train carriages. The fire, which reportedly started around 5:15 am, left two coaches completely incinerated.
Fortunately, quick thinking from railway personnel prevented a tragedy. Saurabh Jain, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager for the Kota Division, confirmed that the crew acted immediately to evacuate all passengers, ensuring that no injuries occurred during the incident. Once the train was cleared, the burning carriages were successfully detached from the rest of the train to contain the damage. Local authorities and fire services were dispatched to the scene promptly, and while the train—which was en route from Thiruvananthapuram to New Delhi—suffered significant material loss, everyone on board remained safe.
