Kuwait Grants First 15-Year Golden Residency to Yusuff Ali

Wed, Jul 15, 2026(45d ago)World

In a landmark move to bolster its appeal as a regional commercial hub, Kuwait has issued its inaugural 15-year Golden Residency to Yusuff Ali, the billionaire chairman of Lulu Group International. The prestigious permit was formally presented by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah. This initiative is central to the nation's broader strategy of attracting high-caliber international investment and fostering a business environment that is both stable and conducive to long-term economic growth.

The Golden Residency program, which officially launched on June 15, is designed to incentivize foreign capital by offering extended stability to top-tier investors, senior executives, and their families. By streamlining regulations and enhancing the ease of doing business, the Kuwaiti government aims to remain competitive in an evolving global market. Officials have emphasized that this program is just one component of their ongoing commitment to modernizing administrative procedures and cementing the country’s status as a premier destination for global business leaders.
