Kuwaiti law enforcement recently conducted a series of successful operations, resulting in the arrest of 12 individuals linked to eight separate drug trafficking and possession cases. According to the Ministry of Interior, the raids yielded a massive haul of illegal substances, including over 86,000 Lyrica capsules, nearly a kilogram of heroin, and significant quantities of methamphetamine and synthetic cannabis. Officers also recovered precision scales and other drug-related paraphernalia during the seizures.

One of the most notable incidents involved a suspect who attempted to smuggle narcotics hidden inside decorative panels within an international shipment. Under questioning, the individual admitted to working for an overseas handler, coordinating the delivery for financial gain. This recent wave of enforcement follows another major sweep just last week, where officials apprehended 23 suspects across 12 different cases, signaling an intensified effort by the Kuwaiti government to dismantle local drug distribution networks.
