Tragedy Strikes in New Cairo: Man Murders Friend’s Entire Family Over Financial Greed
A heartbreaking tragedy has unfolded in New Cairo’s Fifth Settlement after a man confessed to the cold-blooded murder of his close friend and his entire family. The investigation began on August 10, 2026, when the brother of a local printing press owner reported him missing. Police discovered evidence of a struggle at the victim's home, eventually leading them to the horrifying discovery of the wife and two daughters’ bodies inside their vehicle near their residence. The husband’s remains were later located discarded along the Ain Sokhna Road.
The perpetrator, a retired acquaintance of the victim, admitted to police that he orchestrated the killings to steal cash and gold he believed were kept in the home. He lured the father into a car under the guise of an outing before shooting him, then used the man's keys to deceive the mother, falsely claiming her husband had been in an accident. Once she and her children were in the vehicle, he murdered them as well. Though he attempted to rob the family home afterward, the presence of a security guard thwarted his plans. As the Public Prosecution continues its investigation, the British Ramses School has shared a poignant tribute to the two young daughters, expressing the deep sorrow felt by the entire community.
