The Consumer Protection Authority in Oman has officially issued a recall for Kia K8 (GL3) models produced between 2021 and 2025. This safety measure, announced on Tuesday, August 11, impacts 55 vehicles currently in the Sultanate. Investigations identified a technical fault where the high-pressure fuel pipe nut can loosen over time, creating a risk of fuel leakage within the engine compartment.

Authorities are advising all owners of the affected K8 models to have their vehicles inspected immediately to check for any signs of fuel seepage. If a leak is discovered during the inspection, the fuel pipe will be replaced at no cost to the owner to ensure passenger safety. This recall is part of a broader trend of automotive safety checks across the Gulf region, following recent similar actions involving major brands like Chevrolet, Audi, Land Rover, and BMW due to various mechanical or safety defects.
