Qatar has taken a firm stand against professional misconduct by permanently banning 27 individuals from its healthcare sector during the first half of this year. These applicants were caught attempting to secure medical licenses using forged experience certificates. Dr. Saad Al Kaabi, Director of the Department of Healthcare Professions, emphasized that the Ministry of Public Health utilizes rigorous preliminary screening and partnerships with specialized institutions to verify the legitimacy of all professional credentials before any license is granted.

This crackdown is part of a broader commitment to ensuring that Qatar’s medical services are delivered exclusively by qualified professionals who meet the nation’s high safety standards. In addition to these regulatory measures, the country has also streamlined its internal healthcare infrastructure to improve accessibility. As of this year, residents no longer need a traditional health card to receive care, as all medical records are now linked directly to their Qatar Identity Card (QID) for a more efficient and centralized experience.
