Salalah Eye: A New Panoramic Way to Experience Oman’s Khareef Season
As the Khareef Dhofar season transforms Oman into a breathtaking, lush paradise, visitors have a brand-new way to take in the scenery. Located at Al Hafa Beach—just a short eight-minute drive from Salalah city center and 12 kilometers from the airport—the newly inaugurated Salalah Eye offers a unique bird’s-eye view of the region’s stunning coastline and greenery. Designed by the Al Sorouh Group, this 55-meter-high attraction is specially engineered to withstand the monsoon rains. It features 30 climate-controlled, scent-infused private cabins, ensuring that guests can enjoy a comfortable ride regardless of the weather.
The wheel is open daily from 10 am to 11 pm, providing flexibility for those who want to see the city under the sun or lit up at night. Each rotation lasts between 8 and 12 minutes, with a total capacity of 180 guests at a time. Tickets start at 7 OMR for a standard entry, though early birds can secure a 15 percent discount. For families or special occasions like proposals, private cabins can be reserved, and the entire structure is fully wheelchair accessible. Whether you book through the official website or purchase at the gate, the Salalah Eye is quickly becoming a must-visit highlight of the 2026 Khareef season.
