Oman Authorities Crack Down on Major Drug Trafficking Operation
In a significant operation against the narcotics trade, Omani police have apprehended seven Asian nationals in the Wilayat of Al Barka. The arrests, spearheaded by the South Al Batinah Governorate Policeâs Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, mark a major blow to illegal drug distribution networks operating within the region.
During the raid, officials successfully confiscated over 185 kilograms of various illicit substances, including hashish, crystal meth, morphine, and marijuana. In addition to the narcotics, authorities seized a massive cache of more than 120,000 psychotropic tablets intended for illegal trafficking. Legal proceedings are now underway as officials process the suspects and prepare the case for prosecution.
